The ABB DCS880 DC Power Supply is engineered to provide highly reliable and precise DC current and voltage control for hydrogen generation via electrolysis. Compatible with Alkaline, PEM, and Solid Oxide electrolyzers, the DCS880 rectifier ensures efficient energy delivery for optimal electrolysis performance.

With a modular design, the DCS880 can be scaled to meet a wide range of current and voltage requirements—single module currents from 100 A to 5200 A, system currents exceeding 20 kA, and voltages up to 1500 VDC. Flexible configurations include 6-pulse, 12-pulse parallel, serial, serial sequential, 18-pulse, and 24-pulse topologies, allowing customization for any electrolyzer stack size or industrial setup.

The DCS880 leverages ABB’s best-in-class all-compatible platform, offering a user-friendly interface, fieldbus connectivity, and IoT-enabled remote monitoring via ABB Ability™ Platform. Embedded IEC 61131 programming allows for custom control logic and integration of proprietary customer functions. The system can be fully tailored, including IP class, DC/AC connections, air circuit breaker configurations, and more.
